Duet Night Abyss Unveils New Details Ahead of Its Launch This Week

Duet Night Abyss does not have Gacha mechanics

Pan Studio has revealed fresh details about its upcoming hybrid fantasy RPG Duet Night Abyss, which will release worldwide on October 28th for iOS, Android and PC via the official launcher and the Epic Games Store.

The special preview program revealed major gameplay updates, including the removal of the stamina system, a reworked monetization model, and improvements to skins and character and weapon acquisition systems. These changes aim to make gameplay entirely skill-driven, allowing players to enjoy combat, exploration, and storytelling without financial barriers.

Duet Night Abyss combines slash and third-person shooter mechanics with a dual weapon switching system that allows for a seamless transition between melee and ranged combat. The launch version introduces enhanced action controls and mobility improvements, including Spiral Jump, Grappling Hook, and Sprint, which are no longer limited by stamina.

In a move that distances itself from traditional gacha systems, all characters and weapons will be freely available in the game, with no star ratings or rarity tiers. Players can create and upgrade their gear through crafting, and an advanced dye customization system allows various character parts, weapons, and accessories to be repainted to create unique looks. Pan Studio emphasized its commitment to longevity and player-centric design, stating that monetization will only exist to enhance the gameplay experience, not control it.

The livestream also featured the official theme song, created in collaboration with vocalist Amanda Achen, which added a cinematic touch to the world of Duet Night Abyss. Featuring fast-paced movement, expressive customization, and a deep combat system, the game invites players to explore the mysterious world of Atlasia when it releases for free on October 28th. Pre-registration is now open for exclusive rewards.
