Philadelphia Eagles took the lead in the second quarter against the New York Giants on Sunday after a controversial call on the notorious push-push play.
The Eagles had the ball on 4th and 1 with Jalen Hurts under the center. He had his teammates behind him, pushing him over the first low marker and holding onto the ball. As he was pushed forward, Giants pass rusher Kayvon Thibodeau ripped the ball out of Hurts' hands.

It looked like the Giants were going to get the ball back. But while the team was celebrating, the on-field officials spoiled the play and gave Philadelphia a first down. Head Judge Brad Rogers explained that the judges then ruled that Hurts' forward progress had been stopped.
Giants head coach Brian Daboll was angry on the sidelines.
Two plays later, Hurts threw the ball over. Saquon Barkley for a touchdown that helped Philadelphia go up 14-7. It was Barkley's second touchdown of the game.

NFL fans, already fed up with the pushes and the way they are carried out, were upset by the latest incident.
In the last meeting between the two teams, the Eagles punted four times in a row for one of their touchdowns. New York ultimately won that game earlier this month.

NFL owners were forced to ban the game. He survived a vote that would have prohibited the offseason call. It is expected to be revised next year.
