If there's one thing MomTok knows, it's how to live for the story. This could mean a journey of chaotic girls, hosting a holiday party in full glamour, or having difficult conversations about “The Secret Lives of Mormon WivesBut when it comes to working out in the gym, it's all about consistency.
In conversation about their latest partnership with KupsheMomTok members Demi Engemann, Layla TaylorAnd Jennifer Affleck they say it's easier to stay consistent when you're genuinely enjoying your workout. “I've been doing more Pilates lately,” Engemann tells POPSUGAR. “I tried a barre class for the first time and I’m obsessed.” Taylor has a similar approach to fitness, with an emphasis on intuitive movement. “I try to listen to my body and move every day,” she says. “I love Pilates and something low intensity”
“I love movement that makes me feel like I’m in my feminine energy.”
Affleck admits that being on Dancing with the Stars has “completely taken over” her fitness routine. But she's not angry about it either. “It’s an amazing workout, but it doesn’t feel like it because I have a lot of fun,” she says. “I love cardio and HIIT workouts because they keep me moving and give me energy. Lifting weights has never been my favorite activity. I prefer to dance.” Engemann agrees that weightlifting is not a preferred part of her training. “I used to lift very heavy weights, but now I'm putting that on hold,” she says. “I am very passionate about movement, which makes me feel like I am in my feminine energy. So yoga, stretching, breathwork, Pilates, barre, walking, etc. are really appealing to me now.”
However, feeling good in your body isn't just about what you do in the gym. For the MomTok team, looking good can also work wonders. Need proof? Taylor, Affleck and Engemann recommend their latest fashion venture, Cupshe's. For the Plot Party collection. Working together, these three have created stunning pieces tailor-made for holiday parties, late nights, and other moments filled with the energy of the main characters. “I wanted the film to feel bright and feminine and fun, but also light and elevated,” Affleck tells POPSUGAR. For Taylor, the collection is especially perfect for the holiday season. “There’s nothing better than going to events and meetings in a good mood,” she says.
And if you need a boost of energy that a stylish workout or a hard workout can't provide… . . There's always dirty soda. “I start my day with electrolytes, and then after my workout I usually drink a large sparkling water with sugar-free mango, coconut cream, frozen mango and fresh lime from Swig,” says Engemann. The result? In fitness and fashion, find what makes you feel best. And if dirty soda helps motivate you, we're here to confirm that MomTok fully supports it.
