The race of generations continues. I solidified my lead as CBS Sports' top pick with an 11-4 record against the spread for the week, including a perfect 5-0 in my top picks for the first time this season. In seven years of this job, I don't think I've ever been able to pick two underdogs to win outright as top bets, but Dallas Cowboys And Indianapolis Colts passed for me.
I've been 40-20 ATS since week four, which includes a 14-2 ATS week. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to do this again, but we'll try. This week in NFL, Philadelphia Eagles have a chance to avenge the shocking loss they suffered from New York Giants a couple of weeks ago, Mike McDaniel is trying not to get fired because Atlanta Falcons And Aaron Rodgers takes his former team into Green Bay Packers.
Here's what I'm thinking this week. As always, thanks to the CBS Sports research team for making me sound smart.

New York Giants – Philadelphia Eagles (-7.5)

It's impossible for the Giants to win the season series with the Eagles, especially considering the fact that Philadelphia has won 12 straight home games against the Giants. When it comes to this matchup, everyone will be focused on the Giants' historic loss against Denver Broncosbut I'm more interested in the demons that the Eagles exorcised against Minnesota Vikings. Jalen Hurts became the third player in Eagles history to post a perfect passer rating, completing 19 of 23 passes for 326 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions. AJ Brown And DeVonta Smith totaling 304 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Brown has a hamstring injury, but the Giants have a seven-worst pass defense, so be careful.
Choice: Eagles -7.5
Projected score: Eagles 30-21

I found myself rooting against the Jets after meeting Woody Johnson. publicly demolish his defender is like this. I know Justin Fields was bad, but I would be very upset about it if I played for the losing Jets. Now they get to hit the road and face a well-rested Bengals team that has found new life with a new quarterback. The Jets will also likely have a new quarterback, but Tyrod Taylor day after day with a leg injury.
The Jets have scored 25 points in eight straight road games, the longest streak in team history, and 49% of their points scored this season have come while the team is already trailing by double digits. New York hasn't scored a first-half touchdown since Week 1.
The player who will have to cover Ja'Marr Chase, Gardner saucedid not practice Wednesday or Thursday due to a concussion and New York's top wide receiver, Garrett Wilsonmissed training on Wednesday and Thursday due to a knee injury. I'll lead the Bengals to victory by a touchdown at home. After all, Cincy is 2-0 since Joe Flacco came to town.
Choice: Bengals -6.5
Projected score: Bengals 24-16

Could this be the last game Mike McDaniel coaches for the Miami Dolphins? The Dolphins' only win came a month ago against the lowly Jets, and they just lost 31-6 to the team Cleveland Browns. Cleveland Browns!
I don't know if the Dolphins can get off the mat, and this defense, which boasts the second-highest missed tackle rate in the league (15.7%), should keep Sesame Robinsonwho has just one game under 100 yards this season.
Choice: Falcons -7.5
Projected score: Falcons 28-20

Am I really going to make a 14.5 point favorite playing in a division match the best bet? Yes. Here's why:
- Last month, the Colts beat the Titans in Tennessee by 21 points.
- It doesn't look like Tennessee will have a wide receiver. Calvin Ridleydefensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons or defender L'Jarius Sneed (IR) on Sunday.
- Half of Tennessee's losses this season have come by at least 18 points.
- According to my data, the Titans are 1-6 ATS.
The Colts offense has historically been efficient because Daniel Jones and Co. are averaging 3.46 points per trip this season, the highest of any team since the turn of the millennium. This line is guaranteed.
Choice: Colts -14.5
Projected score: Colts 30-7

I mean, it's Aaron Rodgers. Super Bowl. No, I don't think he hates the Packers, but he is a very motivated person. When did the Packers draft their pick? Jordan Love in the first round back in 2020, Rodgers decided to win two MVP titles in a row.
I find it surprising that the Packers are currently in first place in the NFC because it's not like they've been playing incredibly well. They lost to the Browns, tied with the Cowboys, and then found ways to beat two smaller opponents in the Bengals and Bengals. Arizona Cardinals. It's clear there are holes in the Steelers' defense, but it's hard not to root for a motivated Rodgers on his home field as an underdog.
If you're biased and hate Aaron Rodgers, consider that Mike Tomlin is 21-7-3 (75%) in his career as a home underdog, and that Green Bay has lost six straight trips to Pittsburgh. Additionally, the Packers have failed to bounce back in four straight games and are 0-3 on the road this season.
Choice: Steelers +3
Projected score: Steelers 27–26
