Guillermo del Toro is an undisputed master of storytelling, and finally, his adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic tale of Victor Frankenstein is now streaming on Netflix along with a limited theatrical run in the US. Fans of the film will want to read two upcoming books that offer a more in-depth look at the making of the film. First, Frankenstein: written and directed by Guillermo del Torowill be released on October 28 and will tell you about the behind the scenes of the film. This will be followed Frankenstein: The Complete Scenario Coming November 25, this is a hardcover edition of the film's complete script, including a selection of additional materials.

Frankenstein: Written and Directed by Guillermo del Toro provides an in-depth look at how the film was made, from the earliest days of pre-production with a collection of concept art to when the film was in full production and various period-specific props had been created. Del Toro's films are known for their physicality and authenticity, and this 334-page hardcover book explores the director's creative process through his sketches of the development of Frankenstein's monster, behind-the-scenes photos, exclusive storyboards and costumes.

Frankenstein: The Complete Screenplay is a 240-page paperback volume that includes the film's complete script, as well as a collection of concept art, stills from the film, and behind-the-scenes photos. It also features anecdotes from the making of the film, giving readers an insight into how del Toro adapted Shelley's classic story for the modern era.
Mary Shelley's original novel, Frankenstein: Or the Modern Prometheus, was first published in 1818, but even two centuries later it remains a popular book. If you'd like to read it yourself, there are several new and upcoming editions of the book available. Frankenstein – Netflix Tie-in Edition is a new paperback edition of Shelley's novel with new cover art from del Toro's film. It goes on sale October 28th for $18, with pre-orders available on Amazon.
If you prefer a hardcover edition, there are several options. The most interesting thing is the new Frankenstein: MinaLima Editionwhich will also go on sale on October 28th. The premium hardcover book, priced at $45, includes an all-new cover and interior illustrations, as well as seven interactive elements such as a fold-out map, journal entries, and more. Pre-orders available on Amazon. MinaLima has released several other premium interactive hardcover editions of classics, including some that del Toro fans will enjoy, such as: Pinocchio.
There are also three other hardcover versions of Frankenstein available now, including the Deluxe Illustrated Classics Edition, which sells for $23.36 (was $40), the Deluxe Painted Edition for $15.79 (was $35), and the Deluxe Hardbound Edition for 15 dollars.
