So, despite all the problems this development is causing, our esteemed City Council members decided to approve it anyway. Have you thought about these questions at all? Who will pay for the infrastructure – sewer, water, roads, etc., because Wendy Joko's (former Algonquin Chief of the Pikwakanagan First Nation and leading proponent of the land deal) statement that these “costs will be borne by the project itself” does not clarify anything.
Forgive me if I seem uneducated about these things, but as a taxpayer I don't want to pay for it.
Instead of people focusing on our affordability, housing crisis, and healthcare, perhaps we need to start getting to the root cause of all these problems. Over the past 10 years, the federal government has allowed an unlimited number of immigrants/refugees into Canada without any thought to how these millions would assimilate.

I'm not against immigration; I'm against allowing too many people to come here and expect Canadians to foot the bill.

HIS TRAVELS DOESN'T LEAD US ANYWHERE
Having already made a large number of photo trips abroad, especially to Europe, without bringing anything positive for Canada, Prime Minister Mark Carney left again, this time for useless work in Asia. I would note that International Affairs Minister Anita Anand has just visited India and China.
For Carney, spending so much time abroad while Donald Trump's tariffs are decimating auto, steel, aluminum, forestry and other industries and China's massive tariffs are decimating the canola and agricultural industries is unfathomable. We have a man with no real leadership ability who is incapable of righting a sinking Canadian ship.

Some voters are finding themselves duped by Carney's fear campaign against Trump and his many false promises. Voting for someone based on their resume rather than their leadership abilities has always been a huge risk.
We are discovering that Carney is not the great negotiator he claimed to be during his campaign. Trump continues to circle around him.
