Celebrity Chef Jamie Oliver Shares the Key to His 25-Year Marriage

“I won’t be the first to say that opposites attract,” the celebrity chef said. Oliver first met his wife Juliet “Jules” Norton when they were teenagers. The couple married in 2000 and have five children.

Talking to People in April, Oliver expressed gratitude to his wife for holding down the fort at home.

“I think it hasn’t been easy and we’ve had a few bumps here and there, but overall so far so good. And probably most of the credit should go to Jules, but I'd like to think I'm a good dad,” Oliver said.

A representative for Oliver did not immediately respond to a request for comment sent by Business Insider after hours.

Oliver isn't the only celebrity to talk about how they maintain strong relationships with their spouses.

Rob Lowe, married to Sheryl Berkoff for more than 30 years, said he goes to couples therapy regularly with her because “it's like taking a car and making sure the engine is running properly.”

Kelsey Grammar said thinking about love as a “contact sport” is key to his 14-year marriage to wife Kate Walsh.

“Sometimes you need to back it up with some action,” said Grammar.
