Edmundson is shaping the future of luxury travel with women in mind as she oversees all aspects of Marriott International's portfolio of luxury brands, including The Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Bulgari Hotels & Resorts, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, Edition, The Luxury Collection, JW Marriott and W Hotels. As Barry said that evening: “Glamor creates a space where women can be seen, celebrated and supported. Marriott – thanks to Tina's visionary leadership – is creating a space for women.”
The conversation, held at one of New York's most exclusive tables, was exciting and insightful, touching on topics that are the building blocks of both. Glamor and Marriott: sisterhood, community and paving the way for the next generation. Guests were encouraged to “talk to someone new” and share not only their stories, but also their wildest ambitions.
Among those seated at the dinner, which was prepared by Michelin-starred chef John Fraser, were a number of prominent female founders, as well as leaders from the fashion, media, activism and business industries. (To name just a few: award-winning journalist Gayle King, actress Joy Sunday, Hervé Léger creative director Michelle Ochs, entrepreneur Olivia Palermo, Sotheby's commercial director Karina Sokolowski, and Emily Essner, president and chief operating officer of Saks Global.) Each of them brought a unique perspective to the a dinner that was as varied as it was dynamic.
