- Sonic Rumble now has an official confirmed release date
- Expect it in early November for all platforms.
- Rumble pits you against 31 other players as iconic Sonic characters.
As we move into fall and into winter, it may seem like there isn't much to look forward to. Well, apart from the cold weather and miserable dark nights. But luckily, there's good news on the horizon: Sonic Rumble now has fully confirmed release!
Sonic Rumble will be released on November 5 and will be available not only on mobile devices, but also on other platforms. In Sonic Rumble, you battle other players alongside iconic characters from Sega's mascot franchise, Sonic the Hedgehog, in a Stumble Guys-style race to the finish.
What's most notable, of course, is that this is perhaps the highest-profile release developed by Rovio since they joined Sega. And there are many reasons to be excited about this. Especially if you're a Sonic fan, given that it will feature both well-known and lesser-known characters.
Rumble further
Sonic Rumble is already shaping up to be a potential success story for Sega and Rovio as it has over a million pre-registrations. A wide network across mobile devices, consoles and PCs means that virtually everyone will have the opportunity to play, no matter where they are.
At the same time, I am watching this with caution. After all, Sonic has a history of occasional missteps, and in a genre as well-trodden as this competitive battle royale, I feel like Rovio will have to make a lot of noise to get attention.
It can be difficult to keep up with some of these great upcoming releases, especially when there are so many of them that are currently only in the soft launch stage. But in case of the latter, you can always check our list best mobile games in soft launch to stay informed!
