PlayStation has released its latest PS5 DualSense controller worldwide, and it's really good.
The new Icon Blue controller, now available exclusively at Walmart Canada, features layered blue hues and a pattern of the iconic PlayStation buttons on the touchpad.
And as a nice little accent, the back of the controller features katakana characters that spell out “PlayStation” in Japanese: “PureisutÄ“shon.”
PlayStation sent me the Icon Blue controller and honestly, I'm delighted. Besides the fact that it neatly matches the PlayStation's signature blue hues, I really like how striking it is, especially compared to the standard white DualSense:
It also just scratches an itch. I confess that I was quite disappointed by the apparently simple white and red 20th anniversary God of War controller that Sony also just released, considering that I'm a big fan of the series. (Seriously? 20 years of gaming and you can't do much more. inspired?) But luckily, the new blue controller satisfies the desire for a new DualSense variant.
You can buy the Icon Blue DualSense right now on the website Walmart Canada for $109.96.. (While this may seem a little pricey, regular DualSense controllers are currently $95 in Canada anyway, so if you need a new one, $15 more for this awesome device isn't bad.)
