REGINA — Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe will face questions about affordability, hospitals and crippling canola tariffs when the legislature resumes Wednesday.
The Opposition NDP says the topics will be part of the questioning of Moe's 18-year Saskatchewan Party government following the throne speech outlining the premier's agenda for the year.
NDP House Leader Nicole Sarauer says Moe can't fight for the interests of farmers hurt by Chinese tariffs on canola products.
She says residents also continue to struggle financially, while understaffed hospitals in cities are overwhelmed and hospitals in rural areas are closed.
Sarauer says crime is also out of control, arguing the government is not prioritizing tough action to tackle its causes.
Moe's government did not comment on the NDP attack, but said the throne speech would address economic and public safety issues.
