- It features key character Haru and showcases the abilities he will have in the upcoming ARPG.
- Chaos Zero Nightmare will be released on October 22.
Combining classic anime-style graphics with dark tones, Chaos Nightmare Zero will be a refreshing take on ARPGs. Now, in preparation for the October 22nd launch, the folks at Smilegate and Super Creative have released a brand new trailer featuring upcoming character Haru.
Serving as a member of the Academy's disciplinary committee (because of course that's what happens in an academic institution), Haru is a bright and cheerful person, but with a dark and gloomy backstory. In battle, she will join you, a player known as Protoss, with cards such as Anchor Shot, Anchor Pointer, and Energy Charge.
Haru is just the first in a planned series of new trailers released by the folks at Smilegate, designed to showcase all the different characters coming to the world of darkness and action in Chaos Zero Nightmare.
Night terrors
What's perhaps most impressive about this trailer is the sheer high production value. This is not just a collection of animated images, but a full-fledged short film that features a lot of anime-style action that ARPG fans will likely enjoy.
Chaos Zero Nightmare may still be having trouble attracting fans who may find the anime's aesthetic too childish. But the fact that it offers a slightly more mature approach with horror-style action and an overall dark tone will certainly be a breath of fresh air. Admittedly, if the trailer above is any indication, it probably won't be all-time horror.
