Deckout Is Planning to Shuffle Onto Steam This Year

Try your luck at Decout

Individual indie developer Ahmed Jalil announced that Decout will be released later this year on PC via Steam, although a specific release date has yet to be confirmed. A free demo is available now as part of Steam Next Fest, giving players a chance to experience the chaotic energy of the game and add it to their wishlist.

Deckout is a fast-paced, comedic party card game where luck, timing, and a little chaos rule every round. Players are faced with a random target number, such as 23 or 44, and secretly select one to five cards from their seven-card hand to get as close as possible. Players reveal their hands in order, instantly gain points and enhance them with simple but clever bonuses. Matching colors, making straights, or hitting a three of a kind can change the odds in unexpected ways.

Instead of traditional healthcare systems, Deckout runs on coins. Everyone starts at 50, and the losers of each round contribute to the overall prize pool based on how far they fell from the goal. The winner keeps their coins while others pay different amounts depending on their placement. Strategic coin management adds another layer of tension as players can spend coins to redraw or replenish cards, but reaching zero means elimination.

The game's ending ends with a nice comic twist in which a giant hammer declares the final winner. Deckout supports both online play for two to four players, as well as offline matches against spirited AI opponents that imitate real-life personalities. With matches lasting anywhere from eight to thirteen minutes, each session feels short, sharp, and unpredictable, offering a high-energy mix of strategy and laughter wrapped in colorful competitive fun.
