The Justice Department has joined the Republican campaign to discredit Saturday's No Kings protests, going so far as to characterize the event as an attempt to “destabilize” the US government.
The “No Kings” demonstrations, which last swept the country in June, protest the monarchical nature of Trump's presidency, citing the founding of the nation. They also clearly Name non-violence as their “fundamental principle”.
But the Republicans would do you believe? The protests planned for Saturday are “hate America” rallies, with terrorists, Hamas supporters and antifa in attendance. GOP officials also baselessly accused Democratic lawmakers of extending the government shutdown to appease these perceived radicals.
Now the farmers are joined by a senior Justice Department official, Mother K. Dillon, an assistant US attorney general in the WHO civil rights division. warned that the rally “is not a normal protest” in an ominous post on Friday X.
“It's led by people who are shutting down your government and keeping hundreds of thousands of federal employees from getting paid,” Dillon continued, referring to Democratic politicians.
“Be careful and be aware of what’s going on here,” she continued. “Attempts to inflame the public and destabilize our government.”
Dillon replied to tweet from MAGA propagandist Laura Loomer, who in typical inflammatory style linked “No Kings” to “political violence.”
