Scenes From Saturday’s Nationwide ‘No Kings’ Protests

Saturday crowds gathered in cities across the US to protest the President Donald Trump and his administration. Organizers of the No Kings rallies claim that more than 7 million people took part in them in 2,700 cities in the United States and beyond. The meetings provided a clear picture not only of how spread resistance widely has become not only the Trump administration, but also the diversity of the coalition that drives it. Not to mention the signs.

“Today, millions of Americans united to reject authoritarianism and remind the world that our democracy belongs to the people, not to the ambition of one man,” Ezra Levin and Leah Greenberg, co-founders of the nonprofit Indivisible, which took the lead in organizing the rallies, said in a statement.

Ahead of Saturday, House Speaker Mike Johnson called the planned gatherings a “hate-America rally” and warned that crowds would be packed “types of antifa.” In fact, the protests were largely peaceful, with the inflatable suits appearing to vastly outnumber the conservative ghosts. And Trump's response to “No Kings”? Created by AI video himself, wearing a crown, piloting a fighter jet and dropping massive amounts of excrement on the protesting US citizens below.

In the real world, crowds of people walked along their routes without any problems. Below are images of No Kings from cities across the US: a look at a protest movement that is becoming increasingly motivated and capable of mobilizing.
