Game Show Network Plans To Make ‘100 Choices’ With B17 Entertainment

EXCLUSIVE: Game Show Network decided to post 100 options into development.

The cable channel works with Extracted And About the brand with Jimmy Fallon producer B17 Entertainment create an American version of the Japanese family comedy format.

Tokyo-based FANY Studios and parent company of B17 Sony Pictures Televisionwhich has international distribution rights, today presented the development. Considering Game Show Network is also a Sony-owned business, the deal is something of a family affair.

In the show, a group of contestants are faced with one question and 100 possible answers. If they can answer correctly, they will win a big cash prize, but this question is nearly impossible to answer, so they take on five physics challenges, allowing them to eliminate some choices based on their performance on each challenge.

It comes after Sony Pictures Television International Formats pitched the show to international buyers last week as the cornerstone of its unscripted project. The American studio presented the show on London TV screenings earlier this year after securing the rights to Asia TV Forum, and part of that announcement revealed that B17 would be presenting it in the US.

“We enjoyed the huge excitement around 100 options since we premiered the series in London and have received amazing feedback from customers MIPCOMsaid Laura St. Clair, senior vice president of international formats at SPT.

“FANY Studios has created a universal format that can appeal to family audiences around the world, and it's fantastic that the brilliant team at B17 Entertainment is developing it for Game Show Network. I can't wait to see how they adapt and improve the games for American audiences, and we're thrilled to be able to announce further news around 100 options very soon.”

FANI Studio is behind shows like comedy quiz Freezewhich was biggest hit in Portugaland dating format Rhea (love) lovewhich Turkey Global Agency has in the international market.
