Lorde Brings Out Charli XCX for ‘Girl, So Confusing’ in L.A.: Watch

The singers unveiled a remix of the song at the Kia Forum on Saturday.

Lord And Charlie XCX worked it out during a live remix last night, performing a surprise collaboration version of Charli XCX's “Girl, So Confusing.”

At Lorde's Ultrasound World Tour stop at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Saturday, the singer brought out Charli XCX during the encore. Lorde gave viewers a hint of what was to come when she wrote the word “Girl” and underlined it on her palm, fan footage showed.

Appearing on a small platform in the middle of the room, Lorde began to sing the song as the main stage screen showed a video of Charlie, who ended up on the ground floor of the Kia Forum. Then Charlie sang her first verse. She walked through the hall and headed towards the stage where the couple performed a song. Brat, and that's completely different, but still a brat track together, creating an energetic dance performance.

Duet earlier performed a remix together during Charlie's joint performance Pot tour with Troye Sivan in 2024, and earlier this year they teamed up to perform it during Charli's appearance on Coachella in April.

A year after the release of the remix, the complex story of female friendship in the song, which they address in their joint confessional version, continues to resonate not only between the artists and their fans, but also among other artists. In September, Hinds, who covered the remixed version on tour, released a video for their rotation on the track.

Lord's Tour will continue across the US with three more stops – playing in Berkeley tonight before heading to Portland and Seattle. She then travels to Europe and the UK. She wraps up the 2025 portion of the tour with a pair of shows in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center on December 16 and 17.
