Another week, another SEC scandal.
After suffering their first loss of the season, the eighth-ranked Mississippi Rebels hit the road to take on the Oklahoma Sooners in a battle of 6-1 teams.
The books have the home team as 4.5-point favorites, and my early predictions for Mississippi vs. Oklahoma and college football picks let this fight turn into a brutal battle of doom on Saturday, October 25th.

Predictions for the match Mississippi – Oklahoma
Here are our first thoughts on the spread and game totals this week. A full preview of the game (with best bet and SGP) will be available later this week.
Mississippi vs. Oklahoma Early Pick: Oklahoma -4.5
There may not be a heavier team returning home than Oklahoma SoonersHow Mississippi Rebels will be the first of five straight top-20 opponents to end the campaign.
Luckily, Oklahoma's defense can rise to the challenge.
The Sooners rank first in the SEC in scoring defense, allowing just nine points per game in seven games.
OU is allowing just 80.4 yards per game and two total touchdowns while giving up just 132.6 yards through the air and a measly three touchdown passes.
This is where the game will likely be won and lost, as the Rebels boast one of the best passing records in the country, throwing for 304.1 yards per contest (second in the SEC).
Even in their only loss of the year, last week against Georgia, they scored 35 points.
Oklahoma probably doesn't want to get into a shootout because its offense isn't built to score goals. He ranks in the top 40 in passing with 249.7 yards per game, but only 110th in rushing.
However, Mississippi State struggles on defense, allowing 4.7 yards per punt and 166.7 yards per play.
The one time the Rebels needed to make a difference on offense, they made just two field goals and were beaten 23-6 by the unranked Texas Longhorns.
The Sooners are off to a fast start, opening the scoring in all seven games this season, five of them with touchdowns. If they can advance forward, they should show their defensive will and cover.
Early overall pick for Mississippi vs. Oklahoma: Under 52.5
Texas is the only opponent to break the 20 point mark against OU, so I want to stay trending and take the Under.
The Sooners failed to combine with their opponents to score 50 points in any game, including Michigan with 13 points and Auburn with 17 points.
Mississippi State is by far the most potent offense the Sooners will face this year, but at least there is film on how to potentially contain them.
No. 4 LSU held the Rebels to their lowest total of the season, losing 24-19, and then lowly Washington State held them to the same total the following week before a loss to Georgia.
Mississippi State has scored under in three of its last four games, and OU is a perfect 6-0-0.
