We should be proud and encourage the various entrepreneurs and artisans who design and manufacture products here in La Belle Province.
It is very difficult for a profit-hungry businessman not to place orders in Asia or import similar goods from America. To all of you who have chosen quality, pride and passion, my hat goes off.
Patrick Bayard is a deer hunting enthusiast. In a recent interview, he told me about the various Sam Hunting products that he uses frequently.
Great example
Sam Puckett, 30, from Estrie, has been hunting since he was a child. Possessing good craftsmanship, he enjoyed creating game bags designed to carry ducks, which he made in paracordalso called “survival rope”. All of her creations are created by hand, one at a time. Faced with the enthusiasm and interest of fans in this area, he decided to launch his Facebook page and his products under the name Sam Hunting. Since 2017, he has made his mark and now offers a large selection in several stores in Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick, as well as on his website samhunting.ca.
Well there you go
Most rifle slings have two attachment points. When we put one of these straps on our shoulder, it often tends to slide down our arm, forcing us to support it. “Four years ago, Sam developed a sling that has become a standard in this area because it has a third mounting point. Gone are the days of rifles, shotguns and crossbows slipping off the shoulder,” says Mr. Bayard. “I can now use both hands to make calls, drop drops of urine on the ground, set bells and even secure my weapon while hiking or mountain biking.”
For transportation
When hunting, it is important to keep your calls handy and especially not to look for them in your pockets. A waterfowl or whitetail deer call collar allows you to carry them around and keep them close at hand.
“Sam offers carriers for hares, grouse and waterfowl. There are also beefy models for larger game like turkey, deer and even bear. Last year in Manitoba, I was able to pull a deer out of the woods with a two-handle version that makes the task much easier,” admits Patrick.
We also stock belts of all kinds, such as elk antler straps, bandoliers, belts, bleached skull supports, GPS collars, dog leashes and much more. There's even a BlokLuck device that prevents bears from dropping salt blocks.
