The exact nature of this surgical procedure remains to be confirmed.

However, she left the hospital on Friday, according to a press release sent to Agence France-Presse.

Breathing problems

Brigitte Bardot was already treated for breathing problems in 2023 after having difficulty breathing due to the heat.

At the time, her husband Bernard d'Ormal said emergency services had initially given the wrong address.

“It was about 9am when Bridget started having difficulty breathing,” he said. “[Sa respiration] “I was stronger than usual, but I didn’t lose consciousness.”

Describing Bardot's breathing difficulties as a “breathing moment,” her husband explained that firefighters quickly arrived and administered oxygen.

“Like all people of a certain age, she can no longer stand the heat,” he explained. “This happens at 88 years old. She shouldn't have to put in extra effort.”

Controversy

Brigitte Bardot was born in 1934 and began her acting career in 1952, and five years later gained international fame for her role in And God created woman. She also performed in musicals and recorded songs before retiring from show business in 1973.

She is particularly known for her outspokenness and passion for animal welfare causes: she even threatened to leave France if the planned euthanasia of two sick circus elephants was not stopped; a fight she won.

She has been married four times and married her current husband Bernard d'Ormal in 1992.

Brigitte Bardot has often sparked controversy, especially in 2018, by criticizing the #MeToo movement, which exposed the names of many Hollywood figures accused of sexual misconduct.

Conversation with a magazine Paris Match, the actress said that the “vast majority” of actresses who denounce the facts are “hypocritical and ridiculous.”
