The Pentagon accused Netflix of promoting an “ideological agenda” with the series. New York Post.

“Under President Trump and Secretary Hegseth, America's military is returning to restoring the warrior spirit. Our standards across the board are elite, uniform and gender-neutral because the weight of a backpack or a human being does not matter whether you are male, female, gay or straight,” Pentagon spokesman Kingsley Wilson told the newspaper.

“We will not compromise our standards to serve an ideological agenda, unlike Netflix, whose leadership continually produces and feeds woke garbage to its audience and children,” the statement said.

The gay war series debuted on Netflix earlier this month, a week after Secretary of War Hegseth. revealed the administration's new personnel standards last month.

Bye Speaking Addressing top U.S. military officers at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Quantico, Virginia, Hegseth called for the restoration of “ruthless, impartial and common sense application of standards.” Hegseth spoke about the importance of maintaining standards and making sure they are “uniform, gender neutral and high,” and added that “leaders set the standards.”

“Today, at my direction, every member of the joint force at every rank must take a physical fitness test twice a year, as well as meet height and weight requirements twice a year. Every year of service,” Hegseth said. “Additionally, today, at my direction, every member of our combined forces must undergo physical training every day of duty. It should be reasonable, I mean, most units already do this, but we are codifying the system. And we are not talking about hot yoga and stretching. Really hard physical training. Either as a unit or as an individual. At every level, from the joint superiors to everyone in this room down to the youngest private, leaders set the standard.”

“Standards must be uniform, gender-neutral and high. Otherwise, they are not standards. They are just suggestions. Suggestions that lead to the death of our sons and daughters,” Hegseth insisted.

Since its debut, the Netflix series has consistently ranked in the top 10 in Netflix viewership.
