Tia reveals why she and Corey divorced
Tia and Corey got married in 2008 and have two children: a son. Cree in 2011 and daughter Cairo in 2018.
But in 2022 the couple broke up. While Tia cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split in her divorce petitionShe later revealed when she found out her marriage to Corey was over.
“I knew when I really started focusing on my happiness,” said Sister, Sister the alum said on the series' November 2022 episode. Today. “I feel like as women, we tend to focus on everyone else's happiness, making sure everyone else is okay – meaning our kids, our friends, our family. But at the end of the day, it's about loving yourself. And when you start to really work on yourself, love yourself, know your worth, know your value, then suddenly there's this awakening. And it's not easy. It's a hard road. But at the end of the day, I I feel like it’s so worth it.”
By being honest with herself about the end of her marriage, Tia also wanted to be honest with the public.
