Netmarble announced a new challenger enters the fray in The King of Fighters AFK, spicing up the dormant RPG with a new legendary fighter. In particular, Athena Asamiya debuts as a high school pop idol fighting for world peace, which is always awe-inspiring, right?
Of course, to help you add a new character to your roster, there will be an Athena Asamia collecting event running until October 29th, which should hopefully improve your chances with a chance at upping the ante. There will also be [Endurance] Synergy Pick-Up Summon Event that will increase your chances of getting points with [Endurance] Synergy, so it's all good.
Now, given that it's the month of tricks and treats, KOF AFK is also joining the movement with the Spooky Night 1 event, which runs until November 5th. All you really have to do is log in to get the goodies here, including a Jack-O-Lantern profile that will really help you get in the mood this season.
If you're lucky, you might even be able to win the legendary pets “Anon” and “Pissy” during the Tropical Island event, which in turn will last until October 22.
Personally, I had fun playing this game when it first launched as it definitely offered that no-stress, zero-effort feeling that has always appealed to me (and I guess all the other busy bees).
