The New Jersey Devils will be without their No. 1 goaltender Jacob Markstrom for several weeks with a lower-body injury, and veteran Jake Allen is worried about his teammate's misfortune.

The former Canadian colors player started Monday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets but was unable to complete it due to cramps. As a result, Markstrom replaced him in the third period, and at the end of that short stint, the Swede left the ice with discomfort that was quite easy to feel.
According to Allen, none of this would have happened if he had been able to end his tenure on Monday.
