Apparently it's that time of year. That's right. We're back again for 12th Pocket Gamer Awards. I attended about five of them, and for me it is always the highlight. I love being able to look back at the best and best in mobile gaming over the last 12 months. In a world that can (understandably) be a little cynical, it's great to just spread a little positivity.
Of course, this will not be done by me directly. Oh no. It will be you, dear reader. How? You can ask. Well, all Pocket Gamer Awards winners are determined by public voting, which means that no matter how much I harp on about Dredge, I have no say in whether it wins the award or not. It all depends on you, and we will figure it out in three stages.
Nominations are now open
Firstly, we need you to nominate your favorite games in the various categories we have prepared. They strive to celebrate everything from the mastery of a particular genre, the developers, the mastery of porting, and even communities. The only thing you need to remember is that your candidates must be released between October 1, 2024 and September 30, 2025. For the most part, anyway. There are a few exceptions to this rule, but this will become clear when you read nomination form. So, get out there now and make your voice heard.
Then we open voting
In about a month, we will summarize the nominations and create a shortlist for each category. Naturally, this will be published on the site, and then you can vote for your favorites. Of course, you can also encourage your friends and family, as well as other players, to do this. It all depends on how much you want your choice to bring home the reward. Voting will be open for a month, giving you plenty of time to get involved.
Live awards ceremony
Finally, once voting is complete, we'll dust off the scores and announce the winners. They will then be unveiled at a glamorous event during our flagship B2B event. Pocket Gamer connects London.
