The Gray Cup Festival has put additional party tickets on sale following online backlash from longtime CFL fans who were momentarily left on the sidelines.

Many diehard supporters took to social media to express their disappointment over the missed opportunity to purchase three-day Gray Cup Festival Party Passes, which allow guests to attend the concert series and team parties running from Thursday, November 13 to Saturday, November 15 in Winnipeg.

Several fans who come to the Gray Cup each year reached out to 3DownNation indicating that they would cancel their trips if they were unable to purchase party passes.

Reanna Marcoux, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for this year's Gray Cup, said: 3DownNation on Wednesday, the new inventory was created after working with relevant partners, although it “super limited quantity.” She also noted that the festival is working with fans who applied for tickets after the initial supply sold out.

Ticket numbers for the festival are “in line” with previous years, Marcoux said, and the early sellout is due to “incredible demand.” Tickets for the festival went on sale in July after most tickets were sold during pre-sales for CFL season ticket holders and those who purchased Gray Cup tickets.

For fans who are unable to purchase a party pass, there will be an outdoor event near the Winnipeg Convention Center that will be free to attend. There are also a limited number of tickets available for several events on Friday, November 14th, including the Brad Paisley concert and the CFL Alumni Association Luncheon. Tickets for the CFL Awards show on Thursday, November 13th go on sale next week.

The Gray Cup, scheduled for Sunday, November 16 at Princess Auto Stadium, has been close to selling out for weeks. According to Ticketmaster, there are about 150 seats left on sale. The show's hiatus has not yet been announced.

Those wishing to purchase a pass to the Gray Cup Festival party can do so. Here while supplies last.
