The Los Angeles Police Department is currently in possession of surveillance footage from a rented house D4vd this may reveal whether teenage Celeste Rivas was in his home before her found dead in the trunk of the singer's Tesla.
Los Angeles police have reportedly seized video from several cameras on the property of Malden Trifunovic's Hollywood Hills hotel. execution of a search warrant last month. Trifunovic told TMZ that cameras would have captured anyone entering or leaving the house.
The homeowner explained that he did not have access to the footage due to tenant privacy concerns, so he does not know if Rivas was ever there. Earlier this week, Trifunovic said he hired a private detective to investigate the girl's death due to the LAPD's lack of progress on the case.
The dismembered and decomposing remains of a 15-year-old boy were discovered on September 8, a few days after Telsa, registered on D4vd, was towed from the block outside a rental home where he appeared to have been left in the same place for an extended period of time.
Rivas was found nearly a year and a half after she disappeared from her family's home in Lake Elsinore, California, about 75 miles southeast of where the car was abandoned. She was only 13 years old when she was reported missing.
Although her death is being investigated as a homicide, it remains unclear what exactly it is. how and when she died. Los Angeles police have not named a suspect or even a person of interest in the case.
D4vd, whose legal name is David Burke, is reportedly cooperating with authorities.
While LAPD declined to comment on the 20-year-old singer's potential connection to Rivas, her mother told TMZ that she daughter had a boyfriend named David. Both Rivas and D4vd reportedly had matching “Shh…” tattoos on their right index fingers. The 2023 song associated with D4vd is called “Celeste”.
