Famous Canadian indie game 1000xResistance will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 4. It will also launch on Xbox Game Pass on the same day, with support for French, Korean and Portuguese being added across all platforms.
Originally released last year for PC and Nintendo Switch, 1000xResistance is a high-concept sci-fi adventure game from Vancouver-based studio Sunset Visitor. Taking inspiration from similar Automatic nier, Neon Genesis Evangelion And In the mood for loveThe game follows the Watcher, a docile clone from a distant post-apocalyptic future who uncovers a shocking secret that changes everything.
After graduation, 1000xResistance received critical acclaim for its ambitious and insightful storytelling. He has received significant awards from various bodies, including prestigious Peabody Award for interactive and immersive work and a nomination for the coveted Seumas McNally Grand Prize for Indie Games. I know we are champions of many Canadian games MobileSyrupbut I'm really not exaggerating when I say that this is one of the most well-written and rich stories I've ever seen in gaming. I really can't recommend it enough.
What does 1000xResistance What's even more impressive is that this was the debut game of Sunset Visitor, a core team of four who had previously worked in the Vancouver performing arts scene.
