Don't tell Amen Thompson And Jose Alvarado preseason games don't count… because two NBA players had to be pulled apart during a fight in the Rockets vs. Pelicans game!!
Things got physical in the second quarter at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama… as two defenders battled for a rebound.

Alvarado began to lose his balance during the attempt and grabbed Thompson's jersey to break his fall. Thompson tried to push him away… but Alvarado continued to pull, causing him to fall, irritating him in the process.
When Thompson got back up, he violently shoved Alvarado… and things got tense for a couple of seconds before their teammates broke it up.
As a result, Thompson received a flagrant 1 and Alvarado received a technical foul.
Thompson and Alvarado eventually made up with a couple of handshakes and hugs after the game.
Hopefully it stays cordial… as the Rockets and Pelicans face each other a few times when the games really matter. — starting with their first match on December 18.
