Google will let Gemini schedule meetings for you in Gmail

Meetings can be a big productivity killer, but a new Gmail feature can at least cut down on the time you spend scheduling them. The company has announced Gmail will feature a “Help Me Schedule a Meeting” feature where Gemini AI will recognize when you want to schedule a meeting and suggest a possible meeting time to the email recipient.

The new meetings feature is reminiscent of Magic Cue on the latest Google Pixel phones. As you enter emails, Gmail will be able to recognize when you schedule a meeting. A Help Me Schedule button will appear on the toolbar. When you click, Google's artificial intelligence will take action and find a possible meeting time that matches the context of your message and is available in your calendar.

When you use the Help Me Schedule feature, AI creates an embedded appointment widget for your message. The recipient can choose a time convenient for him, and that’s it – the meeting is scheduled for both parties. What about meetings with multiple invitees? Google says the feature won't support groups at launch.

Google has been on a Gemini kick lately, expanding access to artificial intelligence features across a number of products. Company's Nano Banana Image Model moving to multiple productsand the Veo video model pops up in Photos And YouTube. Geminis also have implemented in Google Home offer notifications and activity summaries using artificial intelligence.
