William Daniels on Dancing With the Stars for Danielle Fishel

During the October 14 episode Dancing with the Starsthe actress paid tribute to her Boy meets world co-star William Daniels— who played a tough but supportive teacher on the ABC sitcom — with a special appearance during the competition's Dedication Week.

Adding to the nostalgia, the 98-year-old was on hand in the ballroom to cheer Danielle and her professional partner on. Pasha Pashkov when they danced to Boy meets world musical theme.

Bill, dressed in a brown suit, leaned against the dark table in the classroom before Daniel and Pasha jumped out from behind to begin their jeep. At the end of the performance, they returned to the table where Bill was sitting and holding a paper with a red A+ grade in his hands.

During the show, Danielle explained how the actor supported her from the beginning. Boy meets world.

“It was intimidating, but Bill, who had already won two Emmy Awards, treated me as if I deserved all the respect in the world as a fellow actor,” she said. “It’s been over 30 years since we met and I know how proud he is of me. He really means a lot to me.”

He also shared a special message during a video chat at rehearsal, saying, “I’m so proud of Danielle for everything she does. It's a pleasure to watch you.”
