WITH rumors are circulating that Apple is going to introduce several new products this week, Apple Vice President Greg Joswiak published on Tuesday with a teaser video showing what appears to be a MacBook Pro folded into a V. In the caption above the video, Joswiak wrote, “Mmmmm… something powerful is coming.”
The M5 is Apple's next generation of Mac processors. In Roman numerals, the “V” stands for the number 5. And the five “M's” in “Mmmmm” is another not-so-subtle hint that the new laptop teased here will have an M5 chip inside. Apple doesn't usually release new products on Thursday or Friday, so it seems like the M5 MacBook Pro will most likely be announced tomorrow.
According to reportsApple will only release a 14-inch MacBook Pro with the base M5 chip. Since M5 Pro and Max chips have new designThe release of these processors will reportedly be delayed until early 2026.
However, the 14-inch MacBook Pro may not be alone. Apple is also expected to release a new iPad Pro and Vision Pro, both powered by the M5 chip. Reports also say that new displays, AirTags and HomePod mini are also included in Apple's release schedule for this year, although it is unclear whether these products will be released this week or later in the year.
So be careful on Wednesday morning because it could be a big day. And of course, Macworld will have full coverage of whatever is announced.
