It didn't take long Gemini nano banana The image creation update has gone viral, and it's now rolled out to more Google products that you probably already use every day.
Google announced on Monday that Nano Banana goes on a search using Google Lens or AI Mode, allowing you to create something new in a couple of taps. What's more interesting, however, is that the image generator (formally Gemini 2.5 Flash Image) will soon be available in LaptopLM — Google's AI-powered note-taking and research assistant that can help organize your thoughts, brainstorm topics, and is student's best friend in studies. This gives Video reviews more styles and formats to choose from.
Here's what's new in NotebookLM.
New video format “Short”
You can now customize how long or short your video review is, as well as the style in which it is presented.
Previously, video reviews were only available in one format: Explainer. It gives you a detailed video of your sources. This follows the “Deep Dive” format originally used by Audio Reviews. Users now have two options when choosing how to deliver their video review.
If you only need the most important snippets of your content sources, you can choose a new short video format that gives you an idea of the main ideas without going into too much detail. You can further customize the focus points in the video by adding instructions in the settings field.
Nano Banana brings new visual styles
Google is using Nano Banana to offer new ways to change the atmosphere of your video reviews. Now when setting up a video you will have the following options:
- Classical
- Board
- Watercolor
- Retro print
- Inheritance
- Paper craft
- Anime
The auto-select option is selected by default and your review will be presented in one of the random styles unless you select a specific one.
New styles and formatting options in video reviews will begin rolling out in all supported languages. Google AI Pro users this week, starting at $20 per month. A wider release for free users will follow in the coming weeks.
