Charli XCX's latest surprise has sent the internet into meltdown.
On Saturday, October 11, during the second episode Saturday Night Live In season 51, musical guest “Role Model” performed his viral hit “Sally When the Wine Runs Out.”
In case you didn't know, Role Model (real name Tucker Pillsbury) always invites a celebrity guest to join him on stage while performing this song.
On SNLwhen he shouted, “Where's my Sally?” during performancethe audience went crazy when Charlie appeared at the door as his guest.
Besides the fact that Charli is currently at the peak of her popularity, everyone couldn't stop talking about what she was wearing. The “Everything Is Romantic” singer wore a black skirt, a Max's Kansas City T-shirt and black sunglasses.
Immediately, some people speculated that her outfit was a reference to Taylor Swift, whose fiancé Travis Kelce plays for the Kansas City Chiefs.
The main reason why people came to this conclusion is due to the song “Actually Romantic” from Taylor's song. The life of a dancer. Some fans I think this song is a diss track inspired by Charlie's song from her album, Brother.
Although Taylor didn't directly address the rumors, she did. explain the text songs on Amazon Music, track by track, describing it as “a song about realizing that someone had a one-sided, hostile relationship with you that you didn't know about.”
Well, if you're part of the crowd that's really hoping that Charlie's shirt will be a reference to all the supposed drama, you might be disappointed.
Charlie's shirt is most likely a reference to a role model who wore the same top in SNL promo.
Also, Role Model's latest album is called Kansas is biggerand Max's Kansas City is a former New York City nightclub.
So, she has a lot of reasons to wear this shirt other than the fact that it has NOTHING to do with Taylor and Travis, but that didn't stop the internet from going collectively crazy. Here's what they say:
