“Days of Our Lives” actress Arianne Zucker has reached a settlement with the show's producers following her 2024 lawsuit alleging sexual harassment and discrimination on the set of the soap opera.
The notice of settlement was filed Thursday in Los Angeles County Superior Court. No additional details about the settlement were included. Zucker's lawyer could not be reached for comment.
Zucker has starred on Days of Our Lives since 1998, playing Nicole Walker. In his February 2024 lawsuit. She alleged that now-former executive producer Albert Alarr subjected her and other employees to “severe and pervasive harassment and discrimination, including sexual harassment, on the basis of female gender.”
According to the lawsuit, Zucker alleged that Alarr grabbed and hugged her, “intentionally pressing her breasts against his chest” while moaning sexually. She also alleged that he made “sexually suggestive comments” to her.
“Our client continues to deny the allegations contained in the complaint,” Alarra’s attorney, Robert Barta, said in a statement. “However, in order to bring the litigation to a conclusion, he agreed to settle the situation. This decision was made solely to put an end to the dispute and move on.”
Zucker's lawsuit also names Corday Productions, which oversees the show, and its owner Ken Corday as defendants in the suit, alleging retaliation. Zucker claimed her salary was reduced and her stipend revoked after she raised concerns. In June 2023, she stated that her character had been written out of the series after 20 years.
Several months later, Corday Productions offered to renew Zucker's contract but allegedly did not negotiate with her representatives for a higher salary, the lawsuit says.
Attorneys for Corday and Corday Productions did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Corday Productions previously told The Times that Zucker's claims were “baseless” and that she was offered a pay raise after being offered a contract extension. At the time, the company said complaints about Alarr's behavior on set were “promptly investigated” and the company “cooperated fully with the impartial investigation and subsequently terminated Mr. Alarr's employment.”
Days of Our Lives aired on Comcast-owned NBC from November 8, 1965 to September 9, 2022, before moving to Comcast's Peacock streaming platform in 2022.
