Double Eleven founder Lee Hutchinson is stepping down as CEO, and Kimberly Turner and Mark South will lead the indie studio as co-CEOs.
The leadership change is part of the company's “revised senior management structure” as Hutchinson moves into a “broad strategic role” as chairman of Double Eleven parent company Pneuma Group.
“I am incredibly proud of what we have created and am confident that Double Eleven will continue to thrive under Kimberly and Mark’s leadership,” said Hutchinson.
In their previous positions as chief financial officer/commercial officer and chief operating officer, Turner and South oversaw the “day-to-day operations” of Double Eleven and supported “strategic initiatives across the company.”
As co-CEOs, Turner and South will help “advance the studio's ambitious long-term growth plans.”
“Lee’s vision and leadership have been instrumental in Double Eleven’s journey from a small independent studio to a globally respected developer and publisher,” Turner and South said.
“We are honored to build on the legacy he has created and are excited to lead the company into its next phase.”
They continued: “This marks an important step in our continued growth, driven by our commitment to being a trusted partner and trusted pair of hands to some of the most respected games and developers in the industry, whether through full development, co-development or publishing.
“By continuing to support the talented people in business who make it all possible.”
