Soon after the news Death of Diane Keaton broke down, tributes poured in from all over Hollywood, including from her former co-stars. Jane Fonda, Keaton Book club the co-star shared a statement with Vulture. Fonda wrote: “It's hard to believe… or accept… that Diana is gone. She was always a spark of life and light, constantly giggling at her foibles, being a boundless creative person… in her acting, her wardrobe, her books, her friends, her homes, her library. Unique she was. And although she didn't know it or admit it, man, she was a great actress!” Bette Midler, who starred with Keaton in First Wives Clubshared a photo of Keaton on Instagramremembering his “brilliant, beautiful, extraordinary” friend. “I can't tell you how incredibly sad this makes me. She was funny, completely original and completely devoid of guile or any of the competitiveness one would expect from such a star,” Midler wrote on October 11. Director Paul Feig remembered Keaton in a statement to X: “It was an honor to call Diane Keaton a friend. She was an amazingly kind and creative person, and a Hollywood legend. She was taken from us too soon. We will miss you, Diane.”
