Former President Joe Biden is entering a new phase of treatment for prostate cancer, which he was diagnosed with in May.
Biden is currently undergoing radiation treatment, a spokesman for the former president told Fox News on Saturday. He had previously undergone routine scans, the spokesman added.
“As part of his prostate cancer treatment plan, President Biden is currently undergoing radiation therapy and hormone treatment,” the spokesperson said.
Four months ago, Biden was diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of metastatic disease. prostate cancer after health officials discovered a prostate nodule following worsening urinary symptoms. Biden, who turns 83 next month, also had surgery on Sept. 4 to remove cancerous skin cells in a procedure known as Mohs surgery, his spokesman said.
