Pokémon Go has seen some major changes over the past few months. With many real events and constant introduction of new Gigantamax Pokemon among them. But even bigger changes are coming: Pokémon Go introduces all-new social gameplay, including weekly challenges!
Weekly Challenges will be introduced on October 12, allowing you and up to three other players from anywhere in the world to form a team. Complete challenges and earn rewards as a group to unlock even better rewards than usual!
A key part of this is the new Social tab, which allows you to access both the new Weekly Challenges feature and group play. Simply go to the Social tab and create a group that you can invite up to three friends to, no matter where in the world they play. You may also be invited to join other groups!
Difficult times
The Social tab also serves as a hub for checking your group's progress, both by day and overall. You'll have limited time to complete all of the Weekly Challenge objectives, but the rewards are well worth the effort.
Completing the weekly challenge will reward each player with additional friendship progress, 20,000 experience, and 6,000 stardust. Not bad for an honest week's work!
I think the addition of weekly challenges is somewhat of a game changer. This bringing together of people not only in one area, but throughout the world, will undoubtedly contribute to the development of lifelong friendships. Or simply allow you to reconnect with those who may have moved away.
