President Donald Trump he is being hailed as a peacemaker worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize after securing the first phase of a “historic” peace deal in the Gaza Strip between Israel and Hamas.

Pro-Israel activist Lizzie Savetsky went even further, proposing that the Nobel Prize be renamed in his honor to honor the world-changing achievement.

“Thank you so much for having the courage to do this,” Sovetsky said Thursday on Fox News.

“That's why I campaigned for you. That's why my fellow Jews campaigned for you. We knew you were the only one who could do it.

“You deserve the Nobel Peace Prize. In fact, I think they should rename it the Donald Trump Peace Prize because it's historic and we're just eternally grateful,” she added.

Sovetsky joined”Fox and friends“Live from Tel Aviv to celebrate the breakthrough, two years after she appeared on the same program from a bomb shelter, reporting on the deadly Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023.

“What a great day,” Sovetsky said, reflecting on the prospect of peace.

“The Jewish people around the world have truly held their breath over the past two years, especially knowing that so many of our brothers are being held in the Gaza tunnels, tortured and starved.

“Knowing that they will finally come home, knowing that we have a chance for real peace this can only be achieved through force and military pressure on the horizon… I just feel so relieved,” she added.

Sovetetsky's comments come after Hamas agreed to the first phase of the peace agreement proposed by President Trump to end the war in the Gaza Strip and ensure the return of all remaining hostages, both living and deceased.

Trump announced the news on Wednesday on Truth Social, writing:

“I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of our peace plan. This means that ALL hostages will be released very soon and Israel will withdraw its troops to the agreed line as the first steps towards a lasting, lasting and everlasting peace. All parties will be treated fairly!

“This is a GREAT day for the Arab and Muslim world, Israel, all surrounding nations and the United States of America, and we thank the mediators from Qatar, Egypt and Turkey who worked with us to make this historic and unprecedented event a reality. BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS!”

Rep. Brian Mast, R-Fla., who also appeared Thursday on Fox & Friends, said the achievement deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for the president.

“It’s monumental,” Mast said. “Everyone was talking about whether he would win the Nobel Peace Prize. Those scientists and elites in Norway who solve this should award President Trump the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts.

“India, Pakistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda… the list goes on. He has done more in 10 months to make the words 'the whole and might of the United States of America…' actually mean something than what has been done in the last five years, and it brings peace through strength.”
