I've been using my Nintendo Switch 2 for a few weeks now, and if you've recently purchased one, these accessories are worth picking up, especially during Amazon's current sale.
Switch 2 Screen Protector
I don't think most people should spend that much money on a screen protector. In any case, they are easy to scratch, so it is advisable to have more spare parts to replace them if they break easily.
I think the key is to find one with mounting hardware that ensures perfect alignment. I'm a big fan of matte screens, but I've also listed a good option.
Swap 2 things
As for cases for Switch 2, the first one I bought was this thin. Tomtoc zippered case. For $29 it's hard to beat and I had one with the last switch that lasted for many years. While it's about $10 more expensive than similar cases online, it's thinner and I think it's worth it in the long run.
That being said, I needed to add grips to my Switch 2 to make it more usable in handheld mode. Right now I'm using the dbrand Killswitch case.but at $80 on sale it's still pretty pricey. However, the docking station that comes with it so you don't have to take it out of the case to dock it is very convenient.
Additional docking station
Another thing some people might need from a console is a second docking station. The Nintendo version isn't that big of a deal, considering it comes with a 60W charger, a docking station, and an HDMI 2.1 cable. But it's still $155, which isn't cheap.
If you are like me and looking for something more economical, you can also try this JEMDO Switch 2 HDMI Cable Dock. However, I only recommend this to those who are “technical” savvy as you still need to download some firmware from a dubious site. However, it worked for me and I've been using it for a few weeks now.
MicroSD Express Card
Unfortunately, the Switch 2's most expensive accessory is the additional storage. The new console only supports faster MicroSD Express cards, and none of them are cheap. The best deal I found on Amazon was the 256GB TeamGroup option for $94; however, most range from that amount to $170.
That being said, I think that with the Switch 2's 256GB of internal storage, most people can get by without one.
