The new film “Fantasy -Futball” uses some of its natural talent stars.
Marsai Martin directs a lot of Girl-Boss energy, playing Callie Coleman, a young technical woman whose long career of his father in the NFL brings him to the team of the Atlanta Sokola.
Its production company is behind a family film. (Martin, 18 years old, installed Guinness World Record in 2020 as the youngest Hollywood executive producer working on large production.)
She and Costars Omari Hardwick (Bobby Coleman), Rome Flynn (Anderson Fisher), along with the film by Anton Krepper, recently talked with CNN when they appeared in the game “Falcon” held at the Mercedes Benz stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
It was a familiar atmosphere when the group shot many scenes for their film.
The plot is concentrated around Callie's father, who is played by Hardwick, in the same way, at the end of his career, when his daughter discovers that she can control his movements, playing Madden's football game.
Martin sees the role in which her character also made friends with the members of the Robotics Club team in her new school, as not just fun with his positive message about the diversity in the field of technology.
“I met so many girls who are engaged in technology and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) or all about encoding black girls,” she said. “It is important to shed light on it because it is a very big thing. This is all about the performance. ”
For Hardwick, the project gave him the opportunity to rely on his football roots.
Before he became famous for his roles, such as James “Ghost” Saint -Patrick in “Strength”, Savannah, a native of Georgia played as a defense at the University of Georgia, and then experienced Charders San Diego as a free agent.
“It is incredible to be here, at home,” said Hardwick. “This, obviously, is my team from my hometown … But I never played for Sokolov. With this film, I have to do my job. ”
Hardwick also noted that it was appropriate that they visited the game in which the Falcon of Atlanta played “Chicago bears”, given that Rome Flynn, who plays the opponent of Bobby Coleman, young defender Anderson Fisher, who grew up in Chicago.
Flynn told CNN that, unlike their characters, he and Hardwick did not compete between them as leading men.
“This is all love,” he said, smiling. “We respect each other and identified the best in each other.”
