Hooded Horse and Sad Socket have unveiled a major update for 9 kingsintroducing the long-awaited ninth monarch. The Time King, a multi-dimensional ruler who travels across eras in search of new kingdoms to conquer, now joins the battle as the greatest King of Kings. Combining elements of magic, science fiction and steampunk, his appearance adds a unique time-based twist to the gameplay. Some of his cards encourage quick decision making, others encourage careful and strategic play, and some even allow you to literally time travel to earlier stages of the same session.
In addition to King of Time, the update contains many balance changes and quality of life improvements. Among them is the new Rainbow perk, which allows players to exclude certain kings from appearing in a race. This gives you more control over strategy and variety.
