About the fate of the character Eleven
“Our [Eleven, en anglais] in many ways personifies the magic of childhood. And we knew that for the children to grow up, the magic had to leave Hawkins. We never imagined that Eleven would end up in this basement. For our characters, overcoming that means accepting themselves for who they are, then accepting each other and coming together. This was the final step in Will's journey. On the possibility of Eleven revealing herself again
“If she were alive, I'd say no. Any contact risks bringing her back into the spotlight and starting the cycle all over again. So in the story Mike is telling, I don't think he's considering renewed contact. The only thing I'm refuting is that Eleven isn't communicating with Mike at all.”
About the Rock (the stone taken from the briefcase), which is necessary for the future spin-off Stranger Things
“The spin-off will explore and explain those aspects. But it's a completely different mythology. So it's not an in-depth look at the Mind Flayer or anything like that. It's a new and original universe that will answer certain questions that remain unanswered.”
