Drops were a problem for Green Bay Packers throughout Sunday's game against New York Giantsbut they held on when it mattered most. The Packers rallied late and made necessary stops to defeat the Giants 27-20 in Week 11, improve to 6-3-1 and snap a two-game losing streak.
The falls were not only in the attack. Making his first start of the season, Jameis Winston lived up to his image as a gunslinger and threw several passes that should have been caught by Green Bay defenders. Winston nearly escaped unscathed until a debilitating interception on the penultimate possession.

On offense, the Packers had to play most of the game without Josh Jacobs, who left the team in the first half with a knee injury and did not return. Green Bay, however, still struggled to run the ball, finishing with 128 rushing yards and averaging 5.6 yards per carry.
Jordan Love also had to leave with an injury, but he returned and was effective most of the day, scoring two touchdowns.
The Packers desperately needed a win after two disappointing performances against the team. Carolina Panthers And Philadelphia Eagles. New York has had a lot of problems this season and gave Green Bay a run for its money despite coming into the game with four straight losses.
Next week the Packers will play another struggling team, 4-6. Minnesota Vikingswho have lost four of their last five. But before we look to the future, let's highlight the highlights of Green Bay's one-point win over the Giants.

QB Malik Willis
The Packers' investment in a backup quarterback paid off once again on Sunday. Willis was forced to step in after Love briefly left with a shoulder injury during a scramble, just minutes after the defense allowed a touchdown on its opening drive. He kept the offense moving, running for 16 yards and making one of the most impressive one-yard touchdown throws you'll see on the Packers' first touchdown of the game. Unfortunately, a missed extra point by backup kicker Lukas Havrisik kept the score at 7-6. Green Bay acquired Willis in the seventh round before last season, and he won two games as a starter in Love's absence. Today he showed once again why having a reliable backup can be the difference between victory and defeat.
WR Christian Watson
Watson accomplished the rare feat of catching touchdowns from two different defenders in the same game. He received a touchdown pass from Willis, which wasn't easy when he was being tackled by a defender. Watson was responsible for one of the team's many turnovers on a crucial third down of the second half, but he bounced back with a go-ahead touchdown catch in the corner of the end zone with four minutes remaining. Watson finished the day with just four catches for 46 yards, but expect his role to continue to grow as the team continues to add to his snap count since his return from injury.
S. Evan Williams
Great players appear at important moments. One of the standout players this week was Williams, who saved the Green Bay defense by intercepting Winston in the end zone with 40 seconds left. Trailing by seven, the Giants drove the ball to the Packers' 14-yard line before Williams made Winston pay for his errant throw. It was Williams' second interception in a strong year for the 2024 fourth-round draft pick. In addition to the takeaways, he finished second on the team with nine tackles.
Edge Micah Parsons
The Giants' offense took the field again after selecting Williams. New York used all three of its timeouts to get the ball back with 10 seconds left, but after Daniel Whelan's 61-yard punt, they were forced to start at their own 35. The Giants ran one play, and despite taking on several blockers, Parsons still came home for a strip sack that was recovered by Rashan Gary. Parsons also excelled early in the game, teaming with Isaiah McDuffie on 4th-and-3 in the red zone to keep New York from scoring. The deal for Parsons continues to pay off as he is once again one of the key reasons Green Bay wins.
