Week 19 of the 2025 CFL season is officially in, and the playoff picture looks much the same as the last time we checked.

The Edmonton Elks kept themselves alive, while the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Calgary Stampeders were left in a stalemate with victories. Meanwhile, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats fumbled the bag and gave the Montreal Alouettes hope of stealing first place. Only the Saskatchewan Roughriders got the job done, finishing first in the West.

3DownNation'The power rankings are created by having 10 participants independently rank each team from No. 1 to No. 9 and then averaging the scores. The previous week's ratings are in parentheses. As always, be sure to check back every Monday morning for updated power rankings following each week of CFL action.

Enjoy the rankings and feel free to criticize us on social media for anything you think we got wrong.

1) BC Lions (1)

In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the Lions slept this week. The team's final bye of the season gave them a chance to enjoy a fourth straight win while also getting better. Star Jarell Broxton is expected to return to left tackle after the break, and offseason prized player Dejon Allen is poised to return to right tackle after a lengthy absence due to injury.

2) Montreal Alouettes (2)

Davis Alexander was reportedly unhappy with his 240-yard passing performance, but the Alouettes didn't need more to beat the Redblacks. Marc-Antoine Dequois started the game by returning his blocked punt in the majors, and Austin Mack had one of his best days in the office this season with five catches for 87 yards and a touchdown. Montreal can enjoy its celebratory bird, but is also grateful to be one game behind Hamilton in first place.

3) Saskatchewan Roughriders (4)

Riders continue to perceive the phrase “They don't ask how, they ask how muchvery literally achieve a close victory over an otherwise eliminated opponent. Luckily, Sam Emilus had a great day, taking the ball for 142 yards and beleaguered kicker Brett Lauter making all five field goals to secure the win. This allowed Saskatchewan to take first place and host a home final in the West. although head coach Corey Mays refused to wet himself in celebration.

4) Calgary Stampeders (7)

The stamps imperiously got rid of Schneid, beating the East Division leaders by several touchdowns. Vernon Adams Jr. avoided any turnovers for the first time in weeks, while Dedrick Mills hit the rocks for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Add in the selections of Adrian Green and Derrick Moncrief, and Calgary looks the same again.

5) Hamilton Tiger-Cats (3)

Who are the real Hamilton Tiger cats? We're not entirely sure after their second heavy defeat in three weeks.. Kenny Lawler and Tim White still broke the 300-yard century mark on the afternoon for Bo Levi Mitchell, but the ground game was missing. Even more lacking was the run defense, which allowed 211 rushing yards.

6) Edmonton Elks (6)

Positives: The Moose upset the Bombers and saved their lives in the playoff race. Cons: They didn't even try to secure a tiebreaker due to some questionable decisions late in the gameand are now as far from their goal as before. At least they can be satisfied that the result was entertaining: Kordell Jackson played Johnny on the spot, returning his teammate's fumbled punt for a touchdown, and Justin Rankin scored another game-changing touchdown.

7) Winnipeg Blue Bombers (5)

The Bombers made it in the end thanks to Ontaria Wilson's superhuman performance, but missed the opportunity to close the playoff bracket. Brady Oliveira joined elite company with his fourth straight 1,000-yard season, totaling 147 yards, but Zach Collaros threw a pair of interceptions and finished with just 202 yards. Luckily, they were able to keep their season streak alive even after the loss.

8) Toronto Argonauts (8)

Argos stayed close and respectable against the CFL's best teamalthough the result did not matter in the slightest. However, that didn't mean the defeat wasn't ugly in other ways, as Jarrett Doege was tossed back and forth between the field and the injury tent after hitting his head on the turf three times. At least linebacker Isaac Darcangelo had a good day, totaling 13 tackles and a sack.

9) Ottawa Redblacks (9)

Dustin Crum's sixth start of the season may have been his least impressive, as he managed just 162 yards passing and 36 yards rushing in another blowout loss. Adding further embarrassment to the defeat was a surprise kick straight from Zachary Filion's back, which helped him recover early in the second half. The only thing the Redblacks can do now is that they only need one more loss to secure the first overall pick in the 2026 CFL Draft.
