Obviously, it's never too late to release a game on console. Almost 30 years later, Namco's Tokyo Wars is coming to PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and Xbox. He is almost the same age as me! (Keep a straight face, Bertie, keep a straight face.)
Tokyo Wars is a tank battle game that first appeared in arcades in 1996, complete with racing car-like cabinets in which you can sit and control your tank. The idea of the game was simple: drive a tank through the center of Tokyo and blow up everything – either computer-controlled enemies or tanks controlled by other players. You can crash through cars and even collapse tunnels. It was impressive at the time!
The console release, which will take place tomorrow, November 6th, will be brought to you by Hamster and its Arcade Archives line. This revival of Tokyo Wars comes in two flavors, the biggest difference between which is the addition of split-screen multiplayer for up to four players. You can't access this on Switch 1 and PlayStation 4, but you can on Switch 2PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles.
Eat More information about the Tokyo Wars on the Arcade Archives website.if you want it. The game costs $15 or $17 depending on which version you want.
In 2009, Bandai Namco released a spiritual successor to Tokyo Wars called Tank! Tank! Tank!, which Donlan unfortunately didn't review very well.. Sony Hardware Rivals online multiplayer game He clearly took a lot of inspiration from the game in 2016 as well.
