Two people have been found dead in a Los Angeles home owned by director Rob Reiner in what Los Angeles police are calling an apparent homicide.
Firefighters were called to a home in Brentwood on Sunday afternoon where they discovered the bodies of a 78-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman. Authorities did not immediately identify them or determine the circumstances of their deaths. The Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement that the Robbery Homicide Unit responded to the home, but did not provide additional details about the investigation other than to say it was an “apparent homicide.”
Rob Reiner is 78 years old and his wife Michelle is 68 years old.
The acclaimed director is known for films such as The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally…, A Few Good Men, Stand By Me and This Is Spinal. A continuationSpinal Tap II: The End Continues was released this fall. His wife is a photographer who took the photo of President Trump used for the cover of his book “The Art of the Deal,” Variety reports.

The couple married in 1989 and have three children.
Reiner, the son of legendary comedian and actor Carl Reiner, rose to fame playing Archie Bunker's son-in-law, Michael Stivic, better known as “Meathead” on the CBS series “All in the Family.” For this role, Reiner received two Emmy awards.
