So many fantastic TV shows get canceled too soon, so here are a few shows (some great and some… good) that were unfortunately canceled this year in 2025. Hopefully another network or streaming service will pick up some of these for new seasons, but feel free to give me your full thoughts in the comments.

Boots (2025) was canceled by Netflix after one season.
What it's about: Bullied gay teen Cameron and his best friend despite the risks. At boot camp, they experience profound personal changes amid danger as their platoon faces both literal and figurative landmines.”

Poker Face (2023–2025) was canceled by Peacock after two seasons.
What it's about: “Charlie has an uncanny ability to tell when someone is lying. She hits the road in her Plymouth Barracuda and at each stop encounters new characters and strange crimes that she can't help but investigate and solve.”
3.
Sexual life of female students (2021–2025) was canceled by HBO Max after three seasons.
What it's about: “Four 18-year-old roommates are freshmen at Essex College in Vermont. A bundle of contradictions and hormones, these sexually active students are equal parts attractive and infuriating.”
Who's in it: Renee Rapp, Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Alia Chanel Scott, Gavin Leatherwood and Charlie Hall.

Doctor Odysseus (2024–2025) was canceled by ABC after one season.
What it's about: “Max is the new on-board doctor on a luxury cruise ship, where a small but powerful medical team deals with unique medical crises and each other miles offshore.”
Who's in it: Joshua Jackson, Philippa Soo, Sean Teale and Don Johnson.

Dexter: Original Sin (2024–2025) was canceled by Showtime after one season.
What it's about: “A prequel series that follows young Dexter Morgan as he turns into a vengeful serial killer.”
Who's in it: Patrick Gibson, Michael C. Hall, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Christian Slater, Patrick Dempsey and Christina Milian.

Recruit (2022–2025) was canceled by Netflix after two seasons.
What it's about: “Owen Hendricks, a CIA lawyer, finds herself embroiled in massive international conflicts with dangerous parties after an agent attempts to uncover her relationship with the agency.”
Who's in it: Noah Centineo, Aarti Mann, Fievel Stewart and Vondie Curtis-Hall.

Found (2023–2025) was canceled by NBC after two seasons.
What it's about: “More than 600,000 people are reported missing in the United States every year. Gabi Moseley and her crisis management team are using unorthodox methods to find forgotten people.”

Night Court (2023–2025) was canceled by NBC after three seasons.
What it's about: “A revival of the original series that ran from 1984–1992. It follows Judge Abby Stone as she leads the night shift at a Manhattan arraignment court and tries to bring order to her team.”
Who's in it: Melissa Rauch, John Larroquette, Wendy Malick, India de Beaufort and Lacretta.

Residence (2025) was canceled by Netflix after one season.
What it's about: “A murder mystery set in the White House staff residence.”

Happy face (2025) was canceled by Paramount+ after one season.
What it's about: “The story of Melissa Jesperson-Moore, who at age 15 discovered that her father, Keith Hunter Jesperson, was a serial killer known as the Happy Face Killer.”

Mid-Century Modern (2025) was canceled by Hulu after one season.
What it's about: “After an unexpected death, three best friends—gay gentlemen of a certain age—decide to spend their golden years living together in Palm Springs, where the richest of them lives with his mother.”
Who's in it: Nathan Lane, Matt Bomer, Nathan Lee Graham, Linda Lavin, Pamela Adlon and Zane Phillips.

Goosebumps (2023–2025) was canceled by Disney+ after two seasons.
What it's about: “A horror series that tells the story of a group of five high school students who unleash supernatural forces on their town. Now they will have to work together to save him.”

Irrational (2023–2025) was canceled by NBC after two seasons.
What it's about: “Alec Mercer is a world-renowned behavioral scientist who brings his expertise to a variety of important cases involving governments, law enforcement agencies and corporations, using his unique and unexpected approach to understanding human behavior.”

Mythical quest (2020–2025) was canceled by Apple TV after four seasons.
What it's about: “The head of a successful video game company and his troubled employees struggle to keep their hit game at the top.”

Equalizer (2021–2025) was canceled by CBS after five seasons.
What it's about: “A mysterious figure uses his vast skills to help those who have nowhere else to turn.”

Grosse Pointe Garden Society (2025) was canceled by NBC after one season.
What it's about: “Four members of a suburban garden club, seeking to prosper, find themselves embroiled in murder and mischief.”

Duster (2025) was canceled by HBO Max after one season.

English teacher (2024–2025) was canceled by FX after two seasons.
What it's about: “A gay high school English teacher and his colleagues try to balance the demands of students and their parents.”

And finally Kitchen was canceled by Food Network after 36 (!!!!!!!) seasons.
What it's about: “A food-themed talk show where Food Network personalities come together to cook a variety of dishes, explore food trends and revisit familiar dishes while highlighting their individual cooking styles and experiences.”
Who's in it: Sunny Anderson, Kathie Lee, Jeff Mauro, Jeffrey Zakarian and Alex Guarnaschelli.
