Update
A nifty Apple gadget for just AU$35.75.
Apple AirTags have been popular since the day they were announced, and while it's common to see a small discount per device (currently discounted at AU$40 each), it's usually not much (only AU$9 off).
However, if you grab a set of four AirTags, you'll pay AU$143 for it, but that brings the cost of each Bluetooth tracker down to just AU$35.75 each.
So, if you're like me who constantly loses your keys, or you want to keep track of your luggage while traveling, or you want to keep an eye on your excitable furry friend, take 4 sets of AirTags with you. Of course, you need to be an Apple user (i.e. have an iPhone, iPad or MacBook) to use them with the Find My app.

Get Ultra Cheap Deals
Did you know that something called Amazon Haul is now available in Australia?
Launched in August this year, Haul is only available on the mobile app (and still says it's in beta) and is Amazon's answer to Tema and Shein, with thousands of affordable products under AU$25.
Currently, the only way to find it in the app is to type “Haul” into the search bar at the top of the app's home screen, after which you can filter it by specific categories like “best seller” or “electronics.”
The latter is, as you'd expect, pretty skimpy when it comes to actual tech, but you'll find plenty of tech-related items such as cheap smartwatch straps, cell phone screen protectors, and office supplies.
Read all about it: This month's best Kindle deal
There were some good Kindle deals in July, but the discounts aren't particularly tempting right now. Although I admit that the 21% discount on the latest Kindle Paperwhite might tempt some customers – I certainly would if I wanted one (I already have three Kindles!).
I did Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (2024) Review for TechRadar (heck, I apparently did over 30 reviews of E Ink e-readers and tablets for this post!) and I loved the screen. The E Ink Carta 1300 display here is great, and everything Amazon has done with the performance tuning software works. Everything is fast, clear and exactly the way you want it. I can't complain about the battery life either.
My biggest complaint was that this modified software is quite large, and if you opt for the standard Paperwhite with its 16GB of memory, about 4.5GB will be taken up by the OS, leaving you with 11.5GB. That's enough for thousands of e-books, but if you buy audiobooks from the Kindle Store, you'll run out of storage space pretty quickly.
The other issue I ran into is that Amazon has disabled Bluetooth connectivity in Australia, so you can't actually listen to audiobooks you download through a pair of paired headphones. In my opinion, this reduces the value of the device per dollar.
Still, it's the best Kindle offering right now.

Steam frying + discount = very tasty and healthy food
There aren't many air fryers that allow you to steam cook, but this Philips 5000 series model does it. It's a rare breed, but the presence of steam means you can not only steam vegetables and dumplings in the air fryer (steam in an air fryer sounds like an oxymoron!), but also combine steaming and air frying.
You read that right: This two-basket appliance has a special air fry + steam mode that helps retain moisture inside tender meat while still getting crispy skin on chicken and pork belly. However, the “pair” option is only for larger basket sizes.
This premium model also has a steam cleaning feature, but there are some caveats that you can learn more about in my in-depth article. Philips Steam Fryer 5000 Series with XXL Double Basket Review.
Yes, I tested it myself and found it very useful in the kitchen, even though both baskets were not steaming. Everything they cook here turns out very well – no complaints on my part! I haven't tried anything on it yet though… Either way, if you have the storage space for a dual-basket air fryer, this generous 44% discount is worth considering (and it's only AU$9 more than its July Prime Day price).

What's in my cart?
This image gives it away, doesn't it? Yes, I have an electric toothbrush in my cart.
Let me provide a little context here. I've been using the Oral-B Genius 9000 brush since 2017, then late last year I was offered a smart sonic brush to try, you can read all about it in my Oclean X Ultra S Review. As much as I love being scolded by that talking toothbrush, I've found that I prefer vibrating brushes because the sonic vibrations just don't give me that “clean” feeling.
Unfortunately, my old Genius 9000 won't charge anymore, so it's time to buy me a new Oral-B. I had my eye on the Oral-B iO6, which is the middle child of the entire iO series and gives you all the teeth-cleaning capabilities of the more expensive models, but lacks some features like the interactive display and magnetic charging stand.
It turns out that the iO 7, which has a display and the aforementioned stand, is now discounted for the same price as the iO 6 on Amazon – well, the black variant, anyway – so why not just go for the one with more features? So here it is: I buy myself an Oral-B iO 7 in black.
